WHAT IS AQUAMATION?
Aquamation, also known as alkaline hydrolysis, is a water-based alternative to traditional flame cremation. It is the same process that occurs in nature over several years, only accelerated to less than 24 hours. The breakdown of organic materials is sped up by a combination of alkalinity, temperature, and the gentle flow of water. It has the lowest impact on the environment compared to all other methods of disposition.
